By the way, those of you who are claiming "I lost respect for Anamika" and "She is a good actress" were never Anamika fans in the first place. This is just a disgusting ploy to hit below the belt when someone is down. The fact remains that it is mere stupidity if someone as talented like Anamkia would want to quit the show after getting the top votes.

Why then would she do something so stupid?

Because she is an emotional and senstive girl who loves her father very much! For the first time on the show, we saw someone use their hearts over their heads and for that we are tearing this little girl apart. So unfair! Everybody is complaining why she couldn't be diplomatic and fake, and smile continue. Well, because she cares too much about her father and perhaps at the end of the day, her father's health is more important than simply winning this show. Can we hate her for that?

If people hate her for loving her father and stop giving her votes, then that would be the most shameful thing to do. Not to forget, this is a singing contest and she has never let her viewers down in terms of her singing quality. She is undoubtedly the best female singer on the show.

You guys have no idea what kind of emotional stress and sacrifice these parents give for their kids. We have no right to judge them if under pressure these kids who realize day and day out how much their parents are sacrificing for them, all of sudden break down emotionally.

Let's not forget she is only 12 years old, even though she has a mature voice, we cannot judge her like an adult. She is still a child and if she was afraid of losing her father, we should not be bashing and criticizing her.

If she wanted to do draamabaazi to get more votes, then she would do something along the lines of gaining sympathy. Clearly leaving the show for her father's sake is not going to win her any votes, as one can clearly see she just got criticism from her detractors. So, it is clear that it was an emotional and impulsive move, and I am glad to see that children on the show are at least given a chance to speak their minds.

I HAVE GAINED MORE RESPECT FOR A GIRL WHO IS WILLING TO GIVE UP HER DREAM OF BECOMING THE SAREGAMAPA CHAMPION JUST SO THAT HER FATHER DOES NOT SUFFER ANY PAIN!

I think all fathers should be proud to have loving daughters like Anamika and Smita. 👏 👏👏

My sincere condolensces for Smita's father. I hope he has a speedy recovery. Smita was a deserving singer, she should not have been voted out. 😭

I completely agree with you she is a foolish little emotional girl. But then Bengalis are known to be very emotional and maybe she got really carried away. Any case, leaving the show would have ruined her future. I dont' think she did it for any personal gain, it could only have damaged her hard earned success.

But I still love her for caring that much for her father, at least her ambition is still secondary to her parent's health, and you have to love a kid for that. No wonder Sonu ji and Sudesh ji also forgave her. 😭

The show is taped on Tuesdays and show on Friday so they delibrately want to show this drama or whatever you called it for the reasons they know.

And it is for these reasons that to some viewers it has come across as acting and delibrate showing in order for sympathy and more votes.

No. In no way she is acting. In fact the other participants also should have taken the same path. This show is just trying to push up some contestants at the cost of the really deserving contestants. Smita's father I hope must have recovered by now. Anamika in fact showed her solidarity to Smita and it is a really heroic act. Hats off to Anamika.

Just because some people found anamika's acts a drama or whatever they found that she shouldn't have done, does not mean they don't like her singing anymore. I don't think her singing changed in anyways by this incident, right? so why judge her singing based on this incident. I think losing respect for her and what not is different from judgung her good singing abilities. She still sings superb.

I completely agree that she is and will remain a great singer. As for the fact that she loves her father, that is awesome. But the fact of the matter remains EVERY child loves his/her father to no bounds (she is not some mahaan person for loving her father). Does that mean that she needs to show the whole world how much she loves her father.
There can be two takes on this whole issue, one that she was genuine (which to a certain extent is probably true) and another that this was a whole ploy to get more votes. Just before her, Tanmay and Aamir were being congrulated on getting a playback opportunity and then she comes and saddens the atmosphere. In my opinion, this could have been a way for Anamika to gather more 'sympathy' votes because of this whole ordeal and people saying "oh wow, look the poor girl loves her father sooo much."
I would like ask Anamika fans and these people who so called 'respect' her:
Could this not have been done behind the scenes?
Could she not have talked to her parents before doing this whole ordeal?
Could she not have expressed her angst and worries infront of Sonu and Sureshji behind the scenes without a camera rolling
Or even, Could she not have expressed all of her feelings BEFORE she started singing, instead of singing MOST of her song and then doing this?
just a few questions, and should be genuinly answered.
