Coming back to my point, it has been said any devotional song that has musical instruments is not appreciated, as music is useless activity. Also, music causes one to become a slave of passion (for music). Qawalli without harmoniam, tabla and whatever other instruments have been used in it can be accepted. Islam is only against passiveness and slavery of passion, so even their devotional "trips" while singing qawalli is a form of slavery of passion.
Hope I didnt hurt anyone's feelings but I think it is necessary to inform people of what you know😳.

Your views are right. To be a "Good Human Being" basically covers everything. Different people have different mental make up, different interests, different views, different religions etc. I can only say that no one is wrong and to each his own. After a while all will see the light, though I will be last. Personally I like variety in everything, more religions, more music and more of everything. As they say " My cup runneth over.."😊

Over time They formed Suffi Practices , Sufi Music , Sufi Poetry, Sufi Dance etc... It became a culture and is said to have been dated even before Islam.

Qawwali is a Sufi form of Devotional music to god. Just like Bhakti sangeet / Bhajans for the hindu's.

In Modern times music with praises to god, very deep devotional love to a human or god, Music with lines from the Quran are known as Sufiana music. As you might notice many people like to call it just "Sufi Music" to simplify the genre. Sufiana music means music thats is embeded with the Sufi beliefs , Philosophy and Culture.

To answer Ani yes Abida Parveen is a Sufiana singer. Lets change our term guys. It is Sufiana Music or Sufiana Andaaz. Since Actual Sufi is a religious sect and A philosophy / way of life.

To All Sufiana Music Lovers! Please do check out www.thesufi.com it has free information and Sufiana music from artists in countries like Pakistan , India , Turkey , Iran , Egypt and Senegal.

Enjoy and Take care! 😉

Ron Bhai thanks for shedding some light.😊
