Lata Mangeshkar honored!

Another recognition came Lata Mangeshkar's way of late when Goa University chose to honor her with a D Lit, all of which took place at her Mumbai residence. Lata Mangeshkar, who had to skip the ceremony held at Goa owing to her poor health, expressed her regret for not being able to make it to Goa. But there is more than one reason to this sadness.

Says the Nightingale of India, "Goa is special for me because it is the birthplace of my father, Mangeshi village."

The seventy-nine year old singer who still stands strong in her opposition for talent hunt shows says that she opines it as a one-night stand of fame.

For now, Lata Mangeshkar is busy with her next album that will hit the stands soon.

Thanks Didi,for sharing the article yes it great to see that she is getting another recognition but not another Album now all she should do bless the young generation and hand the torch to the new comer's.
