OK, here is my two cents now:
1. First and formost I think we should all applaud all the kids for having the talent and the guts to come up on stage to perform and stay this far. It may seem easy sitting on this side of the TV to give long bhashans, but if it was really as simple, then all of us would have been in the contest singing it out , isn't it ?
2. They are all kids and they are all learning, they still have their innocence intact and still it is their parents who hold their hand and guide them in life to go somewhere and become something. We do the same thing too, but they have gone one step ahead of all of us...LETS APPRECIATE THAT. Let's encourage them to build their confidence, let's critic only their singing, so that they do better. Thats's the only thing that is our responsibility.
3.They have the right to be silly for they are still kids, but attacking them ruthlessly, we are not proving that we are matured adults either.
4. Now coming to Vasundhara. She cries when she is upset. We do too. The other kids can see everything around them, read the faces, understand the body languages. For Vasundhara, she can only feel what is being said for she can't see it to realise that.So it is expected that she can be a little more sensitive than others.I have seen Tanmay look at his mother for signal/approval on how he did, and through her eyes the mother tells him.Tanmay can see it, so he is secure. Vasundhara can't see that look of approval , so she needs to be told.
5.Dont attack her handicap, but appreciate the fact that despite that she is trying to rise above that to become normal, make a name for her. Don't look at her with sympathy or malice but appreciate this fact. She needs encouragement and confidence boost, just like any other kids do.critic her singing, you all are most welcome to do so, but do it with intelligent reasoning not prejudice or bias.
7.Now coming to her singing : Some may find her voice unsuitable , some find it soothing. Its personal choice. It is also a fact that through her "hari Naam" or "tera mujhse hain pehle ka naata, she has touched too many hearts and that performance will always be rememebred as one of the most touching performance of this series. She has had her bad days too, but then again if she was the worst or not, that is debatable. So far she has not given one performance bad enough to chuck her out.
6Just put yourselves in situations that don't favor you and imagine your reactions and people taunting you on your misery ,how would you feel? How many of us can we really accept such verdicts without flinching? I am sure most of us can't take it, then how can we expect such little kids to do so?
8.I have only one request.Lets appreciate the efforts of all the kids on the stage and comment on JUST their singing. Just imagine if any of the kids sign in to these forums and read all these non muscial harsh comments, will they feel happy or would it damage their confidence? As grown ups is this what we can give them? tell the musical flaws, so that they can correct it.As far as personality goes, let their parents take care of it.They should know best.
