Friday's episode of L'll Champs this week will be a kids' songs special episode for Children's Day. One of the contestants Vasundhara's performance moved the two judges Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar to tears. In Saturday's episode, which was a comedy special, host Aditya Narayan mimicked Sonu Nigam on the stage. We spoke to Aditya for more about the two episodes.
Aditya says, "In Friday's episode we started off singing songs together. Sonu bhaiyya sung saare ke saare ga ma ko le kar. In memory of Pandit Nehru everyone kept a rose flower in their pocket. Two kids sung my songs as well - one was chota bacha and another was chahi 420. I liked their performance. Sonu bhaiyya informed them about the awards I received for singing them. It becomes easy for judges when they sing kids' songs."
Talking about Saturday's episode, he says, "Both I and Sonu bhaiyya did lots of masti. Sonu bhaiyya is famous for mimicking everyone but I never saw him mimic my dad so I requested him. But he replied saying 'you can mimic me nicely so you have to do it first'. I used to watch his hosting so I did that and he complimented me. Then he sang main nikla gaddi leke in my dad's voice and it was fabulous."
Vasundhara is visually challenged but her singing is very powerful. Last year's finalists Diwakar had the same problem yet went on to became the first runner up.
