The perfect Guru
On Zee TV, the 'Mahayudh' is over and so is the pathetic spectacle of loud, argumentative judges warring over their wards. It's music once more as Li'l Champs has got off to a crackling start.
Judge Suresh Wadkar, along with Sonu Nigam, is perfectly in tune as he patiently sings, cajoles, advises and explains to a bunch of adorable children how they can work on their voice.
The 53-year-old singer ensures that every episode is a music lesson. His incisive comments come as a refreshing change from those spouted by so-called 'cool' music directors whose only judgment on every song is a loud, inane 'Mind-blowing-Oustanding-Fantastic-Superb'. Or wannabe Simon Cowells who are trying so hard to be rude that they lose track of the music.
If only all talent shows were less about petty arguments and more about music!
