I think the question is clear.. Its not Music Director, Its just the director (Film Director).. As far as film is concerned, when we say first film - its either solo or duet doesnt matter.. It could be even few lines in a particular film..

Actually the phrasing of the sentence can change its meaning also.A director can be anything - film director or a music director unless clearly specified..and especially when it is reference to a singer and that can change the reply to this question totally.

A film can have solo duet and also group song .😳Someone can sing in a group song and yet get recognised, whereas for some it takes a duet or solo to be recognised as a singer. Unless one is a 100% deep into music the question can be misleading. However if you feel you were right, then so be it...😳 Thanks for the present clarification.
