Very well pointed out...one thing that we all need to always keep in mind - when there's some comment on stars or dignitary without quotes never believe it. only when they make the comment actually to the reporter he/she puts it under quotes....else the comment is just mentioned. and it could be highly possible amanat never even making such a statement.

I am saying this more because i hv talked to him after the show and he was happy with the results...there was no complaint from his side towards anyone. Amanat is a person who rarely complains....a person who is always happy with whatever he gets - fair or unfair.

This is absolutely unfair! How can zee tv show credibility when they denied one single country, which happens to be a the same country of one of their finalist, the right to vote? This is unfair to say the least. I personally know that pakistanis were unable to vote by phone.

@AmanatAliFan110

I don't think Zee denied it. If it was then it must be some govt protocol...why would Zee want to stop more revenue coming in?

I'm really glad to read this Barnalidi. I have beem quite upset reading negative topics about Amanat, calling him a sore looser and that too from some of his fans. So much so, that I never felt like posting anything here for the last two days.

I have always liked Amanat, not only because of his singing, but also due to his humility throughout the show, The way he holds his hears when somebody praises him, his conduct throughout the sumdeha love triangle, etc.

I have not seen the aaj tak interview, but it is possible that the reporter deliberately asked him if he was upset because of no votes from pakistan and he must have confirmed it. Anybody would do that in his place. And since he was leading in international votes, got good amount of votes from India, if Pakistanis also would vote, he would definitely be the winner, after all the difference was only about 20 lakhs. What' wrong in expressing that. Media always looks for interesting tidbits to spice up their channel.

Or is this article not in its entirety.

Also, notice how it says Pakistani Contestant, Amanat Ali,... notedly putting "Amanat Ali" as the nonrestrictive appositive describing Pakistani Contestant (and not the other way around)

This is called logical fallacy. The writer of this is attempting to appeal to the readers' prejudice.

However, what is odd is that the article does not really focus on it. What's the deal?

The deal is you are over analizing it.

I heard that Pak govt did not allow SMSs for the show. So there was nothing anyone can do.

How did you get to talk to him?
