ID's master stroke? - Page 2

All songs on the show were based on themes but I agree with everyone on the fact that ID chooses the best songs for his contestant. That is why we could see so much versatility in Amanat. ID focused on Amanat's potential rather than restricting him to a particular style.

Last song 'tujhse naraaz' was a personal choice song. I would consider that a masterstroke as it was a perfect heartrending ending of such a fabulous show and a rendition that will linger on for sometime. I am sure it turned considerable amount of voting in Amanat's favor.

Good Observation. I thought all renditions were very good in the last episode.. 😊

(1) Hangama hai kyo barpa in the ghazal round - Nobody can match the genius Ghulam Ali but Amanat did a really good job on a very difficult ghazal. His 'darust ke aib' in the beginning, just the way he said the 'aib', it showed how good he is. It takes more than just murkis and harkats to be a great singer. The way he said that 'aib', bilkul ghaayal kar diya

(2) Albela Sajan - I used to think nobody could top Parthiv Gohil's rendition. Amanat equalled it or almost equalled it. Just too good

(3) Mitwa - Fantastic, fantastic rendition. Would make even Shafqat Amanat Ali and Shankar Mahadevan proud

(4) Tujhse naaraaz nahi - What a finale. We can argue ad infinitum that it was Gulzar's lyrics or RD's score that did the trick. Fact is Amanat was brilliant. His own twist on some of the words in that song like the heart-tugging 'maasoom' or the soulful 'hairaan' were just out-of-this-world.

OK, so coming back to my subject, I wonder if it was just serendipity or a well-devised plan on the part of ID/Amanat to save the best for the last.

BTW, I wouldn't mind either Raja or Amanat winning the whole thing.
