Vishal-Shekhar play down Himesh's Raja bashing
Raja Hasan was lambasted by Himesh Reshammiya on Sa Re Ga Ma last week.
Raja performed on a Kailash Kher song and the audience reacted positively but Himesh did not like the performance one bit and gave him a peace of his mind. We spoke to Raja's mentors Vishal-Shekhar for their reaction on Himesh's unexpected burst out.
Vishal wasn't too agitated. He said, "Himesh is a fair guy. I think he must have done it for Raja's benefit. We have great respect for each other. He has a right to scold Raja so that is no big deal," but went on to add, "It may also be because of the number of votes that are coming in favour of Raja. He has huge fan following and his voice has divine quality."
The music composer is confident that Himesh's words won't have any impact on public voting. "I don't think it will make any difference. Having said that we will be happy even if Amanat or Aneek win the show. People vote for good singers."
Shekhar adds, "Himesh did not do it purposely. May be the way he said it was wrong but then it is subjective. According to us that particular performance of his was fantastic and I am still getting compliments for it. Ismailji is my favourite composer and he also always advises Raja, so that he can improve his singing. But let me tell you Raja is a kick ass singer. The music industry wants to work with him and in that sense he is already a winner. So if at all he looses the competition, we will not mind it."
Raja got the highest votes in the last episode and many earlier episodes too.
