vishaland shekhar wins hands down.

In terms of mentoring , it is ID, he is the only one who is fighting the battle with the student that he chose for his gharana from the audition , two from his gharana in top four, a great achievement.

Next comes VS, just lucky to have Raja but Raja was from Eklavya gharana , their original disciples all out. Quite still VS had the maximum from any gharana to reach top position.

AS for HR, Aneek was not chosen by any of the SRGMP mentor during the gharana, he was just injected to final as a finalist who was already a finished product when he was assigned to ROCK gharana. As whole his mentoring is a failure since all his original are out long before.

BL, BL still managed to get his 1 chosen disciple Mauli and Ekalavya Sumedha upto the finals, so he IMO can be rated above HR.

Love apart, I think it is Ismail and VS for obvious reasons pertaining to music and overall enhancement of their candidates.

In terms of real mentoring, Ismail Darbar wins. He picked Amanat and Poonam right in the beginning, spent quality time in improving their singing and got them to the Top 5. In the classical round, I liked the improvisation he made in "Albela Sajan".

He always tells his contestants to focus only on singing, not to be swayed by #1 position and teaches other such things which a guru should teach.

Vishal and Shekhar come next because of the healthy encouragement they give to their contestants.

Himesh and Bappi are the worst. As you said, Himesh is just piggy-back riding on Aneek. He doesn't have to do anything - Aneek must already be having a first-class guru back home in Kolkata (Aneek please go back to him!). All Himesh needed to do was to step in and take the credit which he is doing to the hilt. If anything, Himesh might have contributed to corrupting Aneek and getting his mind away from music and thinking of clothes, girls and #1 position.

Himesh asked for Aneek and it was love at first sight " ye mujko dedo, koi under table kardo na yar" 😆

My vote goes to Shekhar.. Never complained or had problems what others had to say... 👏

VS for being such good and encouraging mentors especially Shekhar and ID for really recognizing and grooming real good talent and quietly and protectively encouraging them on without fuss.

Vishal-Shekhar....they r the best....they have given a break to all almost all d contestants ...
