Om Shanti Om director Farah Khan and stars Deepika Padukone and Shreyas Talpade (Shah Khan was in SA watching the T20 World Cup final) visited the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa sets this week to promote their film.
Speaking about the film, Farah told us, "The subject of the film is very strong. I agree that even before this many people have dealt with reincarnation but none of them used it properly. Karan-Arjun was good and I even liked Subhash Ghai's Karz."
Farah does not believe in rebirth but adds," There are instances in everyone's life, that make people believe in such things. Though OSO is based on reincarnation, it is not at all inspired by any film."
What's with you and number 9?
"I was born on 9th January, I got married on 9th December and my film is releasing on 9th November. Even though I do not believe in numerology most of the good things in my life have happened on the 9th."
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone, who is making a dream debut opposite SRK, says she watches the show because of Vishal and Shekhar who are the music directors of OSO and Himesh, who actually gave her a break in his music video."
About her role and costume Deepika says: "I think I can carry off that 70s actresses look nicely. I liked the costume which I wore in the club song, which has feathers and all. I think that is the second highlight of the film apart from Shah Rukh's six pack abs. We all are missing him here. But I am happy that he is in Johannesburg and because he wore the OSO t-shirt, India won the match."
Deepika considers herself very lucky to have got a chance to enter the industry through such a huge platform. "I will be sharing screen space with almost every actor in the industry in the special dance sequence which has the late Sunil Dutt, Rajesh Khanna and Jeetendra among others."
The Sa Re Ga Ma episode featuring the OSO cast will be aired on Saturday. OSO is releasing on November 9.
