Speculations have been rife for quite sometime now that singer- music composer Adnan Sami is taking to acting. The buzz now is that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning to launch this talented musician as the lead man in his next production. However he will not be directing the film and has handed the reins to his sister, noted editor Bela Sehgal who will make her directorial debut with this. She has formerly directed many videos of Adnan's album starring leading ladies from Bollywood. Bhansali is at the moment very busy with his next biggie 'Saawariya' and will make the official announcement for Adnan starrer once he is through with this.

Bela without letting out much states, "I am not in a position to reveal anything at this stage. I'd love to work with Adnan. But I wouldn't like to talk about my film right now. Sanjay will make the official announcement when the time is right. He's currently too involved with Saawariya. All I can say is that the film will have a simple story and will be made from the heart."

Adnan will be the second composer–singer after Himesh Reshammiya to make it into films in the recent time.
