SRGMP love birds clear the smoke

Last week, the theme was wedding songs. So, it provided the perfect opportunity for our Romeos' on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 to express their love for Juliet. As the events unfolded, Amanat Ali, Aneek Dhar and Sumedha Karmahe (Juliet) were caught in the net laid out by the three gurus.

After Sumedha sang Bole chudiya, Himesh Reshammiya called Aneek and Amanat to perform with her on stage. Later, he asked both of them to reveal the name of their ladylove. As always the duo claimed innocence but Sumedha looked visibly upset. She couldn't say any thing when asked about her reaction.

"Us din bahot zyada ho gaya tha (That day, things went way too much out of hand). I've had enough of it and don't want to talk about it anymore" chided Sumedha.

While Sumedha was reluctant to speak, Amanat was more than happy to add fuel to the fire. "Aneek likes Sumedha but she's in love with me. However, I'm willing to sacrifice her for my little brother (Aneek)" says Amanat jokingly.

On a serious note, he enunciates, "I've said it umpteenth number of times that there's no truth to these tales. She's my rakhee sister. Our judges too keep telling us that such things only increase our fan following."

Aneek Dhar was unavailable for comment.

The votes may be pouring in but cupid Himesh Reshammiya is fast becoming an unpopular man on the sets. "His jokes are not very amusing but no one on the sets has the guts to say anything to Himeshji," adds a source.

In an earlier episode, Vishal opted for a tea break when Himesh got going with his mischievous stuff.

At the moment, the contestants may not complain as they're still there in the hunt. However, after the dramatics of the last episode, if any of these three contestants gets eliminated in the upcoming show, then our cupid gurus will have to rethink their strategy for their love-struck pupils.
