Salman makes Sajid’s acting dreamcometrue

The duo is the controversial Khan's favourite musicians currently and he is also ensuring that all his forthcoming films feature them as the music directors.

When Salman came to know that Sajid was nursing a long time wish to feature as an actor in a film, he immediately spoke to Boney Kapoor, the film's producer and director Prabhu Deva. He told them both regarding his desire to fulfill Sajid's wish. It was met with a favourable response from both and they all decided to rope Sajid in the film as an actor as well. Throughout all this, Sajid was kept in the dark about the developments.

"I was pleasantly surprised when I was offered this role by them," Sajid tells us, "The actual shooting for my part hasn't begun yet. But I am looking forward to this experience."

So does he plan to do a Himesh Reshammiya and continue as an actor cum music director if he enjoys this experience? "Well I am presently very happy with my musical profession and I am enjoying it very much. If I start acting too then I won't be able to balance both these professions well. Plus, music direction offers from big production houses have started pouring in post Partner so I would presently be interested in concentrating only on my music. But then you never know what is in store for tomorrow," the soft spoken music director replies.

Salman has known the musical duo for a decade since the time they did one song (Teri Jawani Badi Mast Mast Hai) for his home production, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya. They later went on to give music (sometimes just a single song or the entire film) for Sallu starrers like – Tere Naam, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Hello Brother, Garv, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar and the recently released, Partner. They are also giving music to Hello directed by Salman's brother in law, Atul Agnihotri.
