I don't think Sumedha has been hyped enough, actually. Neither has Poonam, for that matter.

I realize others see the love story as beneficial to Sumedha or Poonam's story as a sympathy vote getter, but I actually think in the long run, all these stories hurt both girls' chances of making it to the finals and are more beneficial to all three boys. HR's tactics all promote a "may the best man win" mentality, he has clearly pit Aneek against the other two male contestants. HR does not bash the girls directly, but indirectly he tries to send the message that the girls are not a threat to his beloved protege Aneek.

Sumedha and Poonam have different singing styles, but they are both talented. They should be hyped more as singers first, not as a rags-to-riches cinderella story or a princess bride. Oh, well, such is the srgmp experience when HR is involved, at least his annoyance factor is predictable 😆
