In Friday's episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Pakistani contestant Mussarat Abbas got eliminated from the show. He and Raja were in the danger zone but he was willing to quit even if Raja would have received lesser votes.
Says Mussarat, "I was prepared to quit even if I was not eliminated because Raja is a good singer and the only one left from Vishal and Shekhar's gharana."
Mussarat did add that he felt bad at being eliminated. "Naturally I was upset because I deserved to be there in last three. But you have no control over public opinion."
The singer does not agree to the theory that his somewhat monotonous singing style led to his exit. "I do not think so. People liked my singing style. I know nobody can sing like Nusaratsaab. I have that God given gift. I only like to sing songs of legendary singers. In Friday's episode also I sung Rafiji's song and everyone appreciated it."
So what next? "I am preparing for my album and will finish working on it in the next two months. I will be composing music and am also writing lyrics for it. Further, there are lots of film offers from both countries."
After Mussarat's elimination, Amanat Ali is the only Pakistani contestant remaining in the competition.
