Article by Raja Fan on www.rajahasan.com

There have been so many complaints on this site that Saregamapa mentors Vishal-Shekhar have not been backing Raja Hasan as much as they should be doing. Many readers have cited Himesh's vulgar display of backing his chelas – creating love stories, going tom-tom over Aneek's singing and more. The worst part, many feel is that Himesh's stupid plan is working. On the other hand, many Raja fans feel that Vishal Dadlani lets down Raja too often – he even once hinted that Raja could be out next week.

My advice to all Raja Hasan fans is a simple one – relax. And keep voting. Everything that will happen, will happen for the good. Let me try to explain what I firmly believe is happening.

One, don't believe in the numbers game Aditya Narayan announces every week. Over 75% of visitors on this site think that public voting is manipulated. And it surely is. The only thing Zee is honest about is the elimination. The one with the least votes goes out. For the rest of the places, they keep manipulating things.

rajabio.jpgIt is important to understand that Vishal-Shekhar (as well as other mentors) precisely know the exact voting results. And let me assure you, Raja has been winning the contest from day one, with a clear margin. (Raja Hasan has the highest youtube views, his fan club on Orkut is the biggest – more than double in size that of Aneek. And just listen to the chants of Raja Raja – everytime he is on stage. ) Wouldn't it get too boring and predictable if Raja continued to get maximum votes every week? That's why Zee dumped all honesty in public voting after the four weeks that Raja topped.

If you look carefully, Vishal-Shekhar have remained absolutely calm. Compare that with Himesh and Ismail Darbar – they appear as monkeys whose backsides have been dabbed with a petrol-soaked-cloth. Clearly Himesh and ID have panicked and pushing all buttons in their reach. VS are cool, simply because they know that Raja is winning . They also realize that one small mistake could simply ruin things for Raja. Today was a crucial moment. Himesh cleverly tried to coax Raja into a confrontation. Raja, to his credit, didn't utter a word against Himesh.

Vishal-Shekhar are not idiots. They have the sharpest marketing brains today. In a cut-throat industry, they have the biggest projects today – almost all of Yash Raj Films in their kitty. They have nudged out all others and are among the three biggest composers in the industry – apart from A.R.Rehman and SEL. Surely, they know what marketing is all about. They precisely know what is getting Raja all those votes. It is Raja's humility, good natured spirit and of course singing skills that is bringing in votes. And they are careful not to do anything that could dent Raja's USP.

Things have come to a stage that every time Himesh opens his mouth, Aneek is affected. It is better that Vishal-Shekhar keep Raja Hasan away from the limelight. You don't stoop low, just because another mentor has stooped low. And let Raja's singing do all the promotional work. In a recent interview Vishal was aked why they didn't hype Raja. Vishal, was clever to point out – he simply didn't know how to hype someone.

So next time you see all the tackiness other mentors get into – simply enjoy the show.

Vishal-Shekar are doing a very good job. Relax – but keep voting, irrespective of judges' comments and results.

I might be entirely wrong in my opinion. But then, it has to be Raja's singing abilities that should win him the crown. If a tacky-love-story is going to get the Saregamapa title, it isn't worth winning anyway.

I second this thought thoroughly.
Look at the way Shekhar gives his feedback, even when it's not good there is certain dignity with which it's dealt with.
Now look at the way HR types deal with it.....
The way he was trying to thrash Raja for his performance on Saturday totally reflected on him.
There are some peopple who can not handle fame well....HR is an excellent example of that!
I respect S & V for staying above all this natak.

i loved your post. Raja hasan is a great singer, and its just great that his mentor is not HR. Its easier to scream on someone, but its not easier to stay calm.
VS are great and love the way they dealt the situation.

Raja is great.

Ismail and HR will not let Raja win this competition. They will throw a tantrum if anyone other than their contestants come in the top 2.

Anyway - SRGMP is not the ultimate destination and Raja will go a long way with his soulful singing and his humility.

Good Article. Just winning Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is not the ultimate goal. I think VS know that. They are preparing Raja for his bright future. Winning saregamapa on cheap hype and publicity will not take any one far. Better all the contestants know that.
