Aww that's true....The contestants are really an embarrassement of riches,and the loss of ANY contestant would be a terrible loss to the platform

Though I have a shrewd hunch that someone from Yalgaar or Rock would get the boot next week....My gut feeling tells me it'd be Poonam or Mussarat.😔

Surprisingly,I'm going to take up the cudgels for Himesh.😲....Himesh always hammers his POV that contestants ought to play to their strengths and choose songs which SUIT their voice.....He is enormously appreciative when the contestants sing well,but he does reprimand them when their attempt to be "versatile" backfires,because HR then feels a savage sense of vindication...It backfired on Mauli when she tried to sing "Swades",and at that point of time,ONLY HR had the gumption to tell off Mauli..I said this earlier,I say it again...Himesh always lay it on a bit thick when the contestants sing splendidly,and is hypercritical when they mucks up...So the best option would be to take any comment of Himesh with a grain of salt,because neither are the contestants THAT swell when HR praises them to the skies,and neither are they that awful when he pans them....

Raja especially is under loads of pressure....He has been fattened like a proverbial lamb to the slaughter.What with the tremendous hopes and expectations people have pinned on him to the offers pouring in,it would be really a miracle if he doesn't buckle under the hype,knock on wood!!

In case of Mauli atleast he didn't get personal....but with Raja he was trying to proove that he is a lier ...he almost wanted to pick up a fight with him ....I hv never seen him hypercritical with his own contestants.....truth is that he is obsessed with winning saregamapa this time ....

Mauli kept her trap shut....And neither was she asked to rate her own performance....

And come to think of it,there WAS some truth to what Himesh said...Raja would have definitely known that the performance wasn't his best...He tried to stonewall the question by feigning unawareness,something which is hard to buy...Raja avoided getting into a sticky wicket by himself admitting that he was lousy,which might have jeopardised his popularity stakes...

So it boils down to the same argument again,doesn't it...Diplomacy or Brutal honesty??.As I endorse the latter,I'm afraid I didn't quite take umbrage to what Himesh said...Raja tried to be diplomatic,Himesh chose to be brutally honest...You might say that Himesh does not apply the same honesty when it comes to his boys,and thus it was extremely rich of him to nitpick on Raja....Which is true,but then again,I never claimed that Himesh was the paragon of nobleness and fairness....In the particular context of Raja's Saturday's performance,I concur with Himesh's critique,otherwise I loathe Himesh as much as the rest of you people do

@joie de vivre
In my personal opinion Himesh and honesty are two oppposite poles...He is the guy responsible for pushing Mauli in to final 12 by asking her to sing again...where is the honesty when he promotes fake stories...yest' he did not even admit that Aneek was not that good...He applied all his selective and brutal honesty on Raja...He is a shrewd guy he tried to push the ball in Raja's court..if he felt it was not good he should hv the guts to say it why did he need confirmation from Raja..my only problem is that his underlying motive was not constructive criticism ..honest no! ..shrewd poilitican and businessman yes

Raja wasn't tht bad but the mistake he did was telling HR he didn't know what was his mistake..He definitely knew that it was not a good performance and he could hv just told I could hv done better just like Madam M did once..What Raja feared was his admitting that may bring down the support/votes and thats why it hurt HR's ego as he felt Raja being a good singer and not agreeing to him at this point would make the audience feel that HR is doing all this with the fear of Raja superceding Aneek once again..
So HR reverted back more strongly..

Agree or not... Success has gone to Himesh's head ! He thinks no end of himself. Singing from your nose (or wherever), for the "aam public" may sell CDs, but that does not mean he knows music. He has no grace. He is stooping so low just to get his chela win. He resorts to concocted love stories (just like he did last time with Vineet).

Raja may have not been mindblowing, but he was not bad either. Even if he was, like so many other did earlier, just give him low marks and ask them to improve, that was enough, but he had to prove Raja is a lier ! What a cheap ass.

Before Aneek even sings, he tells the public, look at his dedication, sincerity blah blah. There is a limit to Hype, and he crosses that when it come to Aneek. He was so bugged, he took it out on Raja. I just hope Raja somehow comes 1st or at least above Aneek. That will be the best lesson for HR. I wish this could come true
