I just want to say that I'm really proud of Mauli for sticking it out in SRGMP. It's really hard to move to a completely different country, away from your family, away from your friends, to participate in a competition where all the contestants are in a completely different league. (with regards to singing, of course)
For a girl raised in America, Mauli remained attached to her culture. She adjusted to a different lifestyle, a different environment in a different country in such a short span of time. How hard must it be to live amongst strangers, away from your family, not forgetting having to tolerate taunts and complaints about how she is the weakest participant amongst the lot? Granted that this is true, but to tolerate all of that in a country different to where she was raised, and still come out on top is a brilliant achievement.
If you ask me, Mauli deserved to get to the top 7, any furthur, then yes it would have been less deserving, but she has been eliminated at the right point of the contest. She brought a lot of fun to the show and has learned a lot, and I'm sure the contestants have also learned a lot from her. She deserved the praise that she got, and the last couple of performances were brilliant. A few of my favourites being, Mast, the folk song that she sang last gala and a couple before that.
Well done Mauli, you have found a fan and a supporter in me, and i hope that you continue to improve as you have at every stage in SRGMP.
👏
Moving on, vote for Amanat and make him, as he truely deserves to be - number 1! 😛
