Music composer Pritam has given Mauli a chance to sing in his next while Raja Hasan has just finished recording for Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

An excited Mauli says: "I heard the news on the sets and it was a great surprise. I hope these surprises keep coming my way. "

Terming Pritam as one of the top most composers of Bollywood, she adds, "I loved his recent In dino from Metro. His tunes are very popular in the US as well, especially Dhoom 2 and crazy kiya re"

Mauli feels Sa Re Ga Ma is big stepping stone in her career. "I have learnt many things about music, this industry, singing and many more by participating in this show. Sometimes I received criticism and felt bad about it but I have a different voice quality and do not copy anyone. Slowly but surely everyone is accepting it, so I am happy about it."

Meanwhile, Raja has finished recording for Shankar for the movie High School Musical 2. He reveals, "We were four singers - one was Shilpa (woh ajnabee from The Train), then a new girl Tarannum and Arijeet (from Indian Idol 1).

How was the experience? "It was the first time that I went to Yash Raj studio where Vishal and Shekhar were recording so it was really nice. When Shankarji entered he immediately asked me: hey Raja how are you? I just could not believe that he actually recognized me. He is a very nice and down to earth person and explained to us very clearly how he wanted us to sing the song."

Mauli is from Bappi's Josh gharana and Raja is for Vishal and Shekhar's Hit it gharana.
