It is fair?

Just read a topic about somebody complaining about Gujarathis voting for Mauli Dave and Punjabis for Harpreet etc. My question is should the contestants and judges be allowed to request for votes in regional languages and should judges ask people from their area, their linguist community to vote for a particular candidate just because she is from that region? Why not let the contestants appeal just in Hindi. Judges talking to Mauli in Hindi and appealing for votes in Gujarati looks really bad. Same way Aneek asking for votes in Bangla and even Bappi da requesting votes for Mauli in Bangla or Harpreet and Raja thanking Punjab and Rajasthan respectively for voting for them. Why bring regionalism into a so called Vishwayudh. They claim to be expanding the frontiers of the program beyond India to the world but contestants are unfortunately stuck in narrow boundaries of language, community, and country.

I admire Amanat and Poonam for that. They don't thank any particular region or place for their votes as far as I can remember. Correct me if I am wrong. Poonam had been hyped with her background but I doubt if she has used regionalism. Amanat that way is the best.

I think it does more harm than good. Coz some one who even if admires a contestant, doesn't like it if he/she is not form the region. Thought can come like- okay then let only so and so vote for you, you don't need our vote. fine..

The Pakistani singers cannot ask the Indian janta to vote for them. They depend primarily on overseas votes
and maybe some votes from a few regions in India, but it stands to reason that if a good singer comes from a particular region, that region will go all out to vote for, e.g, Debojit in C05.

Because they want to win no matter what and based on some data they wish to urge supporters who have voted for them.

I agree... i mean, when the mahagurus were judging & mauli was selected when Anandji came, he selected her coz she's a gujarati & he is too... even when the other girl sang better

It has nothing to do region biased things. This is all is a big need for Zee. Zee needs to do such dirty, low lavel, I want to use some bad words but I will controll my self.

That's why i liked Amanat and Poonam even ID supports others ghrana he never praise Amanat in good way.
