$1 can buy 30 votes for Mauli

Mauli the very controversial girl from the U.S has a rich family there. So it is quite evident that they send a lot of votes to her but in India it costs around 1 or 2 rupees to SMS a vote but in the U.S it costs 99 cents.

So i guess Mauli's family sends hundred's of dollars to India so her family in India can vote for her. Because the price of one vote in the U.S 99 cents is equal to about 48 rupeees in India, The price of one vote in the U.S is about 25-30 votes in India.

In the end 99cents can buy Mauli at least 25 to 30 votes in India. No wonder she is not getting out.

I think next time ZEE shouldn't keep any NRI'S in the contest becuase they are rich and can afford to buy thousands of votes which is very unfair to Indian contestants who mainly come from poor or middle class families. 99 cents here is nothing and if we send that money to india it will have a much higher value.

What do you guys think isn't this unfair?

whatever u think its your opinion. but your view is sick and biased. just because u dont like her doesnt mean you can go on about NRIs and her family. what do u know how life is in the US. i am from the same city as Mauli. i have heard her live and she was great. i am not defending her but you cant be so prejudiced about NRIs. just cos we are in America doesnt mean that we bathe in dollars. its not true at all. life is tougher here than in india. u have to live it to believe it. people in india just believe that NRIs have a great life, lots of money etc. but here there is a greater struggle. dont always believe what u see. u people just sit and cry that people in india are so poor and they dont get a chance blah blah. why dont you stand up and do something about it. people like u only know how to talk and call names to others who are more successful. purani indian aadat. no wonder the britishers ruled us for so long. himmat hai to america jaakar dollar kamaa ke dikhao and india ka naam uchaa karo. its becos of us NRIs that countries like america are doing so well. its no joke to live here. and next time better think before u write.

The threadstarter wasn't pointing fingers at NRIS they were pointion fingers at particularly mauli's family...asking us out opinions if this is happening...that mauli's family is sending money to vote...I suggest u dont take it to ur heart because I also live in the US and I kno its hard but they were just talkin abt maulis family...and its great u have heard abt mauli and she was great but this is not abt how she lived or how GREAT she was...this is abt singing and she is weaker than the others and does not deserve to go through another round and when her freinds and family get her votes to stay in the competetion it gets people mad here as singing lovers because more talented singers go out...
