Amanat is liked by many so it is possible that people voted a lot this time for him. I don't know if internet votes are counted but I voted a lot for him this week. I am sure many did.

I think the results are completely OK. Actually in your analysis, while you were concentrating on certain aspects and nationalistic scenarios, you forgot a major one - last week Amanat and Mussarat gave veru good performances on both the days...

Because of the injustice done by many"sentiments" the previous week and seeing talents like Amanat and Mussarat in trouble, many a music lover woke up and have voted for Amanat and Mussarat like crazy just to get them up from the "red line" and mind you, in this group of music lovers, most were from India as well. So votes in the form of SMS, inetrnet poured in like crazy...

I should know...forget everyone else, seeing the injustice, my mother voted like crazy and this is SMS votes...and she wanted talent to win...and its just not her, most abroad and in India did too and all "Indians" too....

so you see, tehre was a major population who hadn't voted before who woke up now to do so....

Amanat and Mussarat are too talented to be lost to "sentiments", hain na..

are u sure that Harpreet and Sumedha have received the least number of votes after Juniad?..because, in Anu's
update i didnt read anything of who were the bottom 3, it just mentions that Junaid got the least votes...and thats about it.
