WHO IS BETTER RAJA OR ANEEK?

No doubt Raja is very good, but Amanat had already defeated him in initial round.

Both r good, I really can't pick & choose between them.

Here you are questioning the judgement of the esteemed mahagurus who preferred Amanat over Raja. You yourself have answered the question of who is a better singer than Raja. That regional bias rather than true appreciation of music talent gets precedence when adopted in a singing competition like SRGMP is now a proven factor.

Amanat has consistently given flawless performances and now getting versatile too. The unfortunate thing is that he is not hyped by the mentors in their appreciation while they go overboard in praising Raja.

Raja's qualities are his booming voice, his endearing nature and connection with the audience.
But if you look at the recent performances of Raja he has done many mistakes in his last two or three performances and fogotten lyrics many times which is unacceptable when you are in a contest. Furthermore he is yet to come out of sukhwinder/kailash shadow and prove that he can sing soft melodic songs like "Dheere jalna of Paheli".

Aneek has emerged winner from a tough regional competition and proving to be a strong contender with his superlative performances. He showed that he can outclass Raja in his rendition of "Tumse milke dil ka". It is still early days and it would be foolish to predict the winner at this stage since anything could happen in the days to come.

Just like everybody wants Raja to come out of the Sukhwinder/Kailash Kher type of singing and sing some mainstream singer's songs, I am also longing to see Aneek come out of the soft melodies-light music kind of singing especially the Sonu Nigam ones and sing some hardcore classical or sufi song..

Both are really good singers..as per music knowledge, I think Raja is better..

Well Aneek i think has sung a sufi song Bulla ki jaana of Rabbi shergill, a rocking song like O O jane jana and even Himesh's own Shakalaka boom

The way i see it is they are both good in thier own way. They both have an individual voice and they have a different style to one another so you can't really compare.

The songs which Raja can sing, Aneek can't sing up to that standard and vice versa. Raja has a strong voice that is best suited to punjabi numbers and songs from Kailesh Kher, etc. Whereas Aneek has the conventional voice (like Sonu Nigam) that can sing a wide range of bollywood songs which will suit almost every actor. 😊

One of the mentors said in the Qawali episode that Raja's voice had a divine quality........ that says it all.

Well...its a hard question. It is like asking who is a bwtter singer Sukhwinder or Sonu. They both are excellent in their styles of singing. Raja is an excellent singer if he sings songs within his style. It is not surprising when gurus have mentioned that he is better than the original singer. The thing that I like the most about Raja is that he gets completely involved in the song and makes a connection with his listeners.

On the other hand, Aneek, besides being an excellent singer, is more versatile and has a great voice quality which is essential for playback singers who sing for the heroes.

After giving it a thought, I think Aneek has a bit of an edge over Raja. That's my opinion, although I don't blame the ones who prefer Raja.

They both are great singers.
