SRGMP Pop/ Rock Band

In contests like SRGMP there can only be one winner. Undoubtedly, let the best man win. But what about all the other contestants who won't make it 😭?

I think most people would agree that there are a handful of talented contestants this season. Why let such talent go to waste? They should form their own band, I would definetely buy the album 😆.

Alas, the problem is they would need someone to sponser them like Zee.

Actually this time, most of them have been very lucky.Quite a few of them have already got breaks or recorded songs for movies.😛

I personally think that the contestants who don't win do better than the winner... for example: Nihira, Himani, Twinkle, Vinit etc from Challenge 2005 are doing better than Debojit who won the series... I haven't really heard of him after his debut album

Debojit is doing quite well for himself as a hot of Zee Bangla SRGMP show. In fact he seems to be quite popular as a host.

I guess I agree with both of you to some extent. The participants have gotten opportunities for playback. However I don't think this is sufficient because their career in music seems transient... a few songs here and there. After the contest they might get even fewer breaks.

I think some of them deserve a wider audience even after the contest. For example, Shaan started out as an independent pop singer who came into the public eye after a successful album. I'm not saying they will necessarily achieve the same kind of success. However an album launched properly could definetely boost their careers to some extent. It would give them a source of income but more importantly bring them into the limelight for further breaks by music directors.

I heard tha Himani was/is hosting Antakshri.. Twinkle is in a drama serial... i mean, many of them arent really a success when it comes to singing, and are now onto all other things!
