okay, she sang good today but not GREAT...at this point of the competition, we should only have great singers, and she isn't one of them...she has way too much hype...i think vidya balan said that she matched sunidhi's singing....wat a joke! i seriously don't thinks so...

Don't be surprised if she's in the top 5 singers. You have to look at the changes that Bollywood music has been going through for the past few years. Every other movie soundtrack that comes out has at least 70% dance/bhangra/remix type numbers. These days it is SO tough to find songs with good lyrics and good music. They are all literally 'party' songs which work well in clubs and dance floors. Looking at this trend, Mauli fits in perfectly with B-wood's trend.
Look at the past few years and which songs have won Filmfare etc awards - Kajra re, HR's songs, and Beedi Jalyale.
Mauli completely satisfies the genre that B-wood's music is projecting these days. I think we need to lament on the B-wood music industry deteriorating condition and lack of originality and good music. If this trend continues which seems VERY LIKELY then we'll see more Maulis joining SGMP and getting to the winner's circle.

Chitra ji, I will believe it when I will see the album.. If the people praising her give her chance to sing I have no problem. My problem is I think they are just praising her & no one will give her chance & just kind of keeping her in illusion that she is a good singer.. but if people like her & these judges take her as a singer I am happy for her..
