I cant help my self from posting this from another thread in this one just cus Poonam's story struck me when i read this..

u dint offend anyone at all but since u mentioned that she shuld have told the story whn she became sumthing i wuld just want to tell sumthing else her words exactly were" i havent told this thing to anyone before and wuldnt have told them but i am telling this now..." now so as to why she told if i am not wrong she was shown sume visual of her home or her mom thats why she told the story otherwise as she said she wuld have never brought it up she just wanted to tell how much shes indebted to her mom so she told it! so her reason was clear she wanted to show her indebtness towards her mother which is very sweet........ but anyways diff ppl hav diff opinions on diffrent issues!

..i guess it was said in an emotional state of mind..! And it could be a publicity stunt pulled up by SRGMP to raise TRPs.. I am not blaming Poonam at all.. 😊 not that I should be..

..I am sorry..?? Its a discussion forum and we are having a healthy discussion here.. I dont see the need for anyone to "quit" posting their views.. all reasons put forward are viable..!!

No one here is doubting her abilities to "sing".. no doubt she is a good singer.. but the thread also mentioned her "harsh background"..

Hey if anyone wants to vote for Poonam then by all means do it. 😛 I don't think she was tryin to get sympathy votes or that this is a publicity stunt. She just wanted to share her story and there's nothing wrong wid that. In fact, I think its great that she overcame her hardships and made it to SRGMP-thats a great accomplishment. She deserves the votes cuz overrated people like Mauli will be safe no matter how good or bad they sing, but people like Poonam need the votes to stay in SRGMP.

I would rather someone talks about themselves on these shows as it would show them as human beings also as opposed to being a robotic singer..

That is 1000 times better than garning publicity because of their romantic liasons or because they do a striptease on stage or them proposing to stars or begging them for a hug..

Give me a little insight on the contestants lives anyday over these cheap publicity gimmicks but hey thats just me

..And we are inhumane cuz we dont want the votes to come from a biased public voting..??

Every contestant should put forward their life history and we'll judge who had most tough times getting to where they are today..! I gurantee you.. knowing the public voting in India.. contestant with the most tough times will garner more public support..!!

Its ok when such things are put in shows where there is no public voting and where judgment is stricly based on performances then i dont mind hearing such stories over the lovey dovey gimmicks .. but it does raise eyebrows atleast for me when such stunts are pulled on pubic reality show..!
