also, i forgot who made this comment bout indians not voting for pakistani singers....i am an indian and i love amanat ali and musarat's singing a lot. my parents absolutely love amanat ali. i don't think anyone should make any stupid comments like that. "sangeet" has its own identity apart from nationality, religion, or gender. i think v should only pay attention to the "sur" and nothing else. may the best singer win!

Well agree with u that many the best win, but if nationality doesn't matter then y mention where someone is from?? Y can't they just say the persons name and thats it?! I think a persons hometown always matters the most, eventhough others may like u too, but the most support u will get is from the place u belong to...I don;t know if u have seen C2005 or not, but even then the votings were divided into zones, and eventhough Debo got votes from the whole country, still the most he got was from Aasam, meaning his hometown...

I'm getting irritated by the way HR is fawning over Aneek. If you want to applaud and appreciate someone, do it like Vishal and Shekhar do - they stand up, they applaud, they salute - sometimes they even go and give the contestant a hug. But going ga-ga over a contestant, forcing him to express his love to a lady, start squealing "Oh my lord!" when the lady responds positively, and begin creating a fuss about heartbreaks - in an attempt to create sympathy - when she politely declines. All this is highly irritating.

There was a time, in C2005, when I was among those who quite disliked HR. I am starting to be reminded of the reasons why. History is beginning to repeat itself.

By the way, what happened to Himesh's claim that a singer needs to carve a special niche for himself, rather than sing regular romantic Sonu-type songs. Is he not worried about Aneek's roti? Is he not worried that Aneek would be unable to get past Sonu, and get branded as a cover version singer?

By those standards, Mussarat is still the better bet. He has sung songs like Main jahaan rahoon and Aap ki kashish in his own style. He has a better chance of obtaining roti. Aneek, while he has sung very well, hasn't added anything special to the original songs.

May be Mussarat should start wearing a Topi too. Hope he is not under the impression that "Topi me hain dum, Topi wale rocks" 😃

shady, actually the whole sequence looks like scripted that way and was really fun. and everyone is going ga-ga about aneek, not only HR. it is HR's good luck (speaking about good luck and HR is not saying much though) that he landed in his gharana. But again I always found him as a solid mentor.

My 2 cents...
Musarrat and Aneek both r talented..but aneek is more consistent and more polished singer than musarrat.I firmly believe that junaid is overrated and sikander and vasi were better singer than junaid.Amanat is best of the lot.We need to accept that HR is like that..he is always excited about his one particular singer...like last year is was vinit and this year its aneek....so junta please don't compare....vinit was too good and this year aneek is too good...so his excitement is normal..the only thing i wish that somtimes HR should be more controlled with his emotions...

Dude,

aneek never sang any sonu's song....and if u hear the original songs that aneek sang..he sang in his own style and somtimes he is better than the original....may be his tonal quality sounds close to sonu but that is also original...he is not copying...

Aneek hasn't sung any Sonu songs (actually Zubin's songs), but he hasn't sung a song that Sonu or other more established singers can't sing equally well or better. That was what HR meant earlier when he said there are only 5-6 singers who are very successful. And in order to be successful you need to have a different style, which Mussarat did.

You may have a different opinion that HR on the issue of roti and uniqueness, which is perfectly fine. My point is that Himesh has moved away from his own statement made earlier in the show.

I don't think so. What Himesh was saying is that Musarrat can't compete in the typical play back genre with SOnu, SHaan and K.K. because he is weak in tha department. What he needs to show is his strengths and where he can surpass others. However, Aneek can definitely compete in the typical Playback genre because he has a beautiful voice with superlative performances. One must focus on their strengths and not display there weaknesses. He knows Musarrat surpasses others when it comes to a particular genre and he has proved that with his last performance.

I think Himesh is one person who supports his contestants full heartedly, but if they are not singing well he cant go crazy and fight the mentors all the time otherwise people will complain about that. It's evident that VS love Aneek and that makes Himesh more confident and excited about Aneek.

Any which way you look at it, I feel it is ok for HR to get excited about his own student if they are singing well. I think this is natural.
