• I started off very early. I was interested in music since I was born because mom says that when I was one year old I used to try singing.

• On my fourth birthday there was this small party arranged by my father. He called all the music directors and his friends and I took the mike and I started singing for two hours non stop. Kalyanji Anandji were there. They had this group called Little Wonders for kids who sang or danced or played instruments. They called me to be part of the show. So I started doing shows with them when I was four years old!

• Then Anuu Malikji was recording a song with my dad that required a kid to sing some lines. So he asked my father and I did it. I did my first song when I was five years old.

• I kept getting offers for singing and continued with playback singing. I sang about a hundred songs and came up with albums. My first was a self titled album 'Aditya' which had remixed songs. My most popular song was 'Kaali Kaali Aankhen'.

• I kept doing shows and finally Subash Ghai approached me to act in Pardes (1997) and then Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai happened with Salman bhai. Then Chota Bacha happened which was received very well. I won a lot of awards for it including the Screen Award.

• I continued with the singing and acting. I've sung in about 12 to 16 languages.

• All of a sudden when I was 13 my voice started cracking because I was going through adolescence. I just couldn't sing at that time because my voice was changing. So I stopped singing professionally and I continued with my education. I finished my SSC and I joined Mithibhai, did my 12 and completed my FY.

• Then I headed to London for a year-and-a-half. I did my diploma there in English contemporary music.

• As soon as I came back I got this offer from Zee to anchor Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and here I am.
