Just finished watching AKS.
Lets start with the music - I never cared for HR' s music, but this time even many critics wil agree he has gone beyond expectations. Overall much better than his previous films, except perhaps Aksar.
What struck me was the ability of HR to poke fun at himself - not an easy thing to do. His nasal singing, cap have been made the butt of jokes in the movie.
The heroine - has done an admirable job given her age.
If I sound like I have become a fan of HR, please do not think so. If there is one eyesore in the whole movie, it is HR himself. They should have roped in someone like the other HR (Hrithwik).
At the risk of sounding Victorian, I was relieved at the lack of explicit scenes/clothes. U can watch this movie with the family kids etc.
I will sign off with a confession - for some reason I watched this movie ahead of others that I had not seen but reportedly are more deserving (Metro, Namesake, Aawarapan) etc. Maybe I too succumbed to the curiosity factor.
Now you know why AKS got a fantastic opening response!
