Popularity OR Singing contest?????!!!!!!!

All Mauli comments in today's episode makes me wonder - is this a singing talent contest, or a popularity contest?

They are openly pandering to her made-up "star status" and using that to keep Mouli in. Even Mouli admitted that the other girl sang better than her. But she doesn't have the courage to say "she sang better than me, so I'm eliminating myself".

I'm sorry but there should be freedom of speech. If you are not happy with the decision please lay it out. No rule can stop you from feeling how you feel. Maha Guru wasn't honest at all by chosing Junaid and Maili. Flashy clothes and Popularity don't make an artist. And performance? What about your voice and the quality you put into your song? Harpreet and Shreshta were the sure winners .. unfortunately they are nothing but victims of favoritism and lack of understanding from the Maha Guru's side. This is what happens when you bring in different Judges to the show. So they have been making music ..songs .. they got lucky and are where they are now. Yes they have talent. I make music and write my own songs .. but i'm not lucky to be out there coz it takes one to know ppl. Hence popularity. If that is what being a star on SRGMP is all about then this show is nothing but rigged. Throw out talent and keep One hit wonders like Maili. yeah that makes sense... not. Junaid isn't better than Harpreet ... please listen to their performance ... over and over if you have to .. to see what i see. I mean i love Harpreet's singing and i mean "love" it to the point where i think he should have been the one who won the whole thing but even then i put aside all that and actually understand the fact that Poonam will and should win. Coz she is the best singer out of "all" the contestants. It's just sad when ppl get stupid and talk about how great Maili is. i know it's Mauli .. i prefer Maili .. sue me.

most of us here agree that mauli' selection was not justified, but Junaid deserved to win. Harpreet also was very good, but Junaid beat him by a slight margin. Most of the boys are good and its sad to see some deserving boys go. I am rooting for Harpreet & Raza to come back through Bhramastra.

There are so many topics regarding Mauli's wrong selection - wonder why everybody wants to open a new theread on the same topic instead of discussing on the same one.

This is NOT a singing competition, between participants that is... 😭 it is a competition between MENTORS & MAHAGURU. the way ismail darbar projects an ill-mannered behaviour wid the mahagurus(asha bhonsle & khayaam saab) he shld be told to SHUT_UP...good he supports his students...wad about Brijesh, he was told he shld go open up a foodstall or smtg...how CRUEL...when ur own guru tells u smtg like this... 😡 definitely ismail is NOT my fav, HIT_SQUAD, HR & BAPPI lahiri's gharana rock all the way... 👏

Looks like ZEE already has decided to make Mauli as winner...no matter how bad she sings....this is just so such unfortunate incident....all coward mentors....seems like Mauli has brain washed very well...She knew that IT IS JUST A CLEAR BIASED judgment...if she is already the "Shakira" of India then she does not need to win this competetion in a shameless way...this is just sheer hipocracy.....This program is loosing it's charm slowy...How can a program like Sa Re Ga Ma Pa comprise with Music? This is becoming a dictatorship program. ...

Zee is just doing this to maintain it's high TRP...because Mauli means dance and performance and focusing camera from bottom to top slowly and high TRP. If Zee continues to do so then people will turn TV on Friday-Saturday night to watch Amul Star voice of India not Sa re ga ma pa.

Now, all other contestants will be very scraed to perform when Mauli is there..because, it does not matter how well they perform Mauli will win always. It will be always partial. Somehow they want to help Mauli to reach final..because after that we all stupid janta will fall for her "performance" and vote for like what we did with Qazi..Right from the begining this year all mahagurus are repeating same mistakes. .Sarika, Anita, Shestha..and Zee is not doing anything about it..

HR asked Richa and forced her to say that she was not satisfied with the decision..why he didn't do that when Shestha was out??

Zee's popularity has increased because of Mauli. This is a clear indication that Public likes Mauli.

Singers are because of public, if public doesn't like you, one may have great voice it means nothing. Performers and Singers are popular because public likes and support..without public on their side they are nothing...they can sit home and sing all they want. Zee likes Mauli because she is good for theri business and will be able to sell records ..in the end it is about who can sell..

Nobody wants to hear Dama Dum from Shesthra (sp?) when Runa and Abida can sing much better and with lot more gusto than her (or may be same) they have already done it..she is mere copy..

There you go again. I PM-ed at length to Anu regarding this. IF moderators should have an internal debate about the future of this forum. I do not want to write it again, but seriously, do some serious re-thinking about the rule. A clean forum is fine, but a meek forum is not! Hope I get it across.
