you are absolutely right! khayaam sahib has been in the industry for soooo long and has given us such masterpieces as kabhi kabhie - classic! i think one should be given respect when they are the calibre of khayaam sahib.

also like khayaam sahib said that if he is given the authority to make such a decision they should have enough confidence in him to not question him.

Exactly.... I agree. But frankly I am more interested in seeing how many pages this goes too.😆😆

I will stick to my previoues statement. Wrong decision or not ID should have showed the respect to that chair. He may have been polite whatever... but the act was wrong.

ID has enough reasons to justify his act of outburst but he should have respected the chair and not created a scene like that. The whole world was watching. A mentor should behave in dignity and he as a mentor should have done that.

Khayyam saab has a history of "wrong judgements", but in this case the culprit was not Khayyam saab alone, RR was also involved. The previous days judgement was totally wrong.

ID respectfully disrespected Khayyam. Atleast he showed that much of decency of apologising before his tirade. He questioned the decision but he never got personal with Khayyam saab or ran him down as a person. But whatever he may have done, its still unexcusable. He got way too emotional.

But what I liked was, in the same show, he apologised to Khayyam Saab in public. Making a mistake is human, but not many know or have the power to apologise for ones mistakes. ID showed that he could rise above bitterness and apologise for a wrong that he did. Many may come back and say that he was forced to, well he may have been but he still need not have done if he hadn't felt it. Thats applaudable.

Ashaji and Khayyam saab have both not been able to explain the reasoning for their judgement, something that will always remain a question mark for Jyoti and Sarika - the reason for selection.

Its interesting to not that spade callers are actually taking a different stand this time round...interesting...😆

he is a serial apologizer, he questioned Ashaji's fair decision(Sarika did not sing in her own voice, she was imitating the original singer, come on Ismail knows it)he apologized to Ashaji, if you mean what you say why apologize

he apologized to Khayyam and said bad decision, if a girl cannot put the emotion into Mungda, really, even singers at my social gathering were able to put that emotion into it. If he feels it is so wrong, why apologize, cant even keep the story straight, if you invite someone to give a decision, you respect their decision, the right way for him would have been Khayyam saab, I respect your knowledge, I dont agree, can you explain what was missing in the kid? then I would have seen Ismail in a positive light here

that is the difference between being a modest disagree'er and an arrogant disagree'er

he should've just keep his mouth shut like others cause they all know that the decisions wasn't gonna change. if he really wanted to argue then he could've done hungama afterwards.. 😆 jab mahaguru ko bolya he to phir unko ijjat tho bhi doo.! 😳

U are 100% right Vineet. that would hav actually helped the kid in the long run to improve too if she had made mistakes. But on the other hand i feel Khayyam Saab should also hav provided the reasons properly to the girl.He did the same that Ashaji did. these small tips would hav helped them in the long run.

But was it modest? Is it that just adding a sorry at the starting and ending makes it modest.😛Take them out and then see what remains. My own personal view is questioning the decision of the maha guru or judge openly this way in front of the whole world is wrong. The act in itself cannot be called as modest so sorry or no sorry does not matter.😊

Ismail Darbar is the only person who has the guts to say what he feels - whether it's behind the judge's back, or in front of them. When Asha ji gave the decision against Sarika and left before anyone could question her, all the mentors said 'wrong decision, galat hua'. No one called the mentors rude then. Today, Khayyam saab was present, but ID didn't keep quiet just because he was there - he responded just like he would have even if Khayyam saab was not present. Ismail Darbar does not have 2 faces.

As far as his behavior, I don't see anything rude. He started with an apology, but it was his opinion that Jyoti shouldn't have been eliminated. But Khayyam saab didn't keep quiet. He spoke up and said that he was made the mahaguru so they should trust that he had judged fairly and not question him. Ismail simply repeated that he wanted to express his opinion. Khayyam saab still didn't let it go, and got overly offended. Finally Ismail got tired and got up and left. Later, he came back and duly apologized to Khayyam saab, who forgave him. If Khayyam saab had simply accepted or ignored his opinion instead of raking up an issue over it, it wouldn't have gotten so far.
