Thanks for the update.

I had a question. Didn't Poonam from Yalgaar Gharana and Harpreet from josh Gharana already got farman and had entered Agnipariksha. Poonam had already sung Hungama Oh gaya and harpreet had sung Oh majhi re. So why they both are performing today...

That was farmaan to enter into the second round and is the round which is going on now.. The round that is going on now is the round whr few members are selected for the final entry into agnipariksha and then we will have the chakravyuh round

Today, I am trying my humble attempts at giving a recap of today's episode.😳

Today was a Himesh Reshamiya special. Must say, I was most definitely apprehensive of what was to follow and was all set with the remote to go browsing, just in case……😉

Well, the fact that I am writing this shows I actually sat and watched the whole show. It was worth watching. 👏Now here is the recap of the days episode.:

Himesh started the show with his hot n happening movie –"Aap ka suroor" song "Jhooth Nahi Bolna". Its amazing to see atleast from the first one minute that Himmy bhaiya can actually sing non nasal. Himmy bhaiya's movie got its two minutes of free publicity..

Now over to the show :

The first performance was by Junaid and Saberi of Hit it Gharana.…

Junaid set the tempo and the crowd grooving with the song " Gustakhe dil,tere liye"… He gave a very good performance.

The gurus showered plenty of praises on him. Vishaal in fact said that it was the type of performance for which he would actually buy a ticket to go watch. HR was generous with his trademark adjectives – "mindblowing, superb , too good ".. ID liked his performance so much that he actually danced to his tune. Bappida also praised a lot.

The Mahagurus reaction was just as appreciative. Rajesh Roshan Saab remembered Mohd.Rafi saab seeing his performance and Khayyam Saab seconded what everyone else said.

I have nicknamed Khayyam Saab as "Xerox Saab"- he only copies what others say.

Next one to perform from was Saberi.

She sang " Meethi baata karke - Dil maahiya le gaya…."

She gave a good performance and was appreciated by all the gurus.

Rajesh Roshan ji said he was reminded of Asha Bhosle ji when he heard her singing. She performed brilliantly. Xerox saab just said what all others said.

The next to perform was Poonam and Brijesh of Yalgaar Gharana.

Poonam sang" Bhul na jaana ,dur na jaana".

Brajesh sang – " Aa re Aare" (could not catch the first line)

They both were praised a lot by all the gurus. Shekhar told Poonam that she really worked on Ashaji's "aa- kar" advice and the improvement was there for all to see. HR appreciated both the performances.

All praise Poonam's singing and Ismailji shares her life struggle story, it was quite an emotional one. He promises to be like her father and guide her in the right direction.

The Mahagurus were also very appreciative of their performance. Rajesh saab felt that Poonam had that tonal quality, something that the MD's are always searching for.

Next to perform was Mauli Dave and Harpreet of Josh Gharana.

Mauli sang – "Soniye" …. Where as Harpreet sang "Afreen tera chehra"

Mauli's performance fell short of expectations. She started on a higher scale and then it just did not sound right any more.

Vishal was critical of her performance and told her that there has been a drop in her performance since the first one. For Harpreet he said that he could bring out the essence of the song. All the gurus felt that Harpreet could bring out the pain in the song. About Mauli, the reaction was varied but it was apparent that she did not live up to the expectation.

Khayaam saab said Harpreet had the "Punjab ka josh". Rajesh Saab felt Harpreet was a little weak on the first line but picked up brilliantly from line two.

Rajesh Saab requested Himesh to sing and Himesh sings. Well I was more busy counting the number of times he rotated his wrists clockwise and anticlockwise while singing.

Rajesh saab likes Mauli's performance, her voice and said he liked the fact that she has no accent at all. Bappida said he is giving a break to Mauli.

Last to perform was the Rock Gharana .

Anita and Mussarat were the contestants from Rock Gharana today.

Anita sang - "ishq mein dil ko pagal pagal bana bethi" and

Mussarat sang- "Aap ki kashish".

They were both very good. In fact, I felt Mussarat sounded much better than the original.

The gurus were very appreciative of the two performances. Sekhar felt Musarrat's performance was the best of the day. The rest of the gurus were appreciative too. ID quipped that Himesh was worried about roti for him, but he was singing for biriyani now instead. Vishal however cautioned Mussarat to take care of his voice as he strains his voice to sing the high pitch songs. HR felt that Mussarat is an ATOM BOMB material if he gets the right composition song suiting his tonal quality.

Anita's performance was liked by all…

The mahagurus were appreciative of them both and Xerox Saab said he wants to bow his head in respect in front of Musarrat's teacher.

Today I must say, performance wise they were all pretty good, though personally I did not like Mauli's performance. It seems today the participants were pretty comfortable on the sur taal part and most important, today they had found the "feel" also.

Bipin saab , HR's father visits the sets and shares some tidbits on him which throws some light on the sensitive side of the iron man – our dear Himmy Bhaiya. There were a few emotional moments that touched the heart of all.

Anita, Saberi and Mauli get the yellow card. Poonam gets the farman and reached the Agneepariksha round.

Brijesh, Harpreet, and Junaid get yellow signal. Musarrat gets green and reached the agneepariksha round.

Who would say Himesh also has a very real life as well. And he sounded really genuine. It touched my heart too. Actually I must admit I enjoyed the songs too.

Overall, a good episode.👏
