Want to please Asha ji? Sing RD's songs!

It's pretty obvious that Asha ji adores her husband. Whether it's her comments on his songs - 'Burman saab ne yeh gaana aise banaya' - or her anecdotes about him - 'Burman saab aisa karte the' - or even the pleasure you see on her face whenever someone sings his songs well. I'm sure one of her reasons for coming was that they were having RD Burman special episodes.

You could see she was very happy with Musarrat when he sang his song, and even said that she would have given him full points if he had sung that instead of RFAK's song. Also, she wanted to slap Himesh last year when he called her husband nasal, but agreed to forgive and work with him because he was recreating Pancham da's 'Mehbooba'. And she was further thrilled when the song was incorporated into his coming movie.

No wonder the mentors (with the exception of Himesh) are making their contestants RD Burman's old songs. Aakhir aage badhne ke liye judge ko khush karna zaroori hai na 😉.

The fall side of that strategy, she knows those songs all too well, if you fall from that level of excellence(she has sung most of the female part of those songs whether duets or solos)she is going to come after you with double vengence 😉

I agree.. She was too happy when Mussarat sang Gulabi Aankhein.. 😆 Maybe she was more obsessed with Musarrat's first song as it was Himesh's composition 😉

it is well known fact that along with anu malik himesh is also not "lata-asha bhakt" and this is the reason asha bhonsle keeps on taunting himesh.rest of the mentors say asha didi asha didi that's why she is happy with them but this is not the case wit himesh may be that annoys her.
