Many will remember the little boy in Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai playing Salman Khan's son. Or for that matter, the famous song, O, I Love you Daddy, from the movie Akele Hum Akele Tum. Yes, it's Aditya Narayan we are talking about, the young son of famous singer Udit Narayan. Aditya has been out of the lime light since he was doing a diploma in English Contemporary Music from London. Having been a child artiste and also a young playback singer, he will now be the anchor for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa on Zee TV, earlier hosted by Shaan. "I love challenges. I have acted and sung in the past so anchoring is new to me. I have followed this show and I feel the concept is brilliant. The best part about it is that the anchor of this show is an experienced musician himself. The anchor begins the show by singing and with that he sets a benchmark for the other contestants," says Aditya. So what does he have to face as Udit Narayan's son? "Professionally, being his son is not a plus point because expectations are monumental. But I try to take them positively and learn from them. Personally, it is a boon to have him as a father. He is a great human being. He tells me daily that no matter what you do, whether you are a singer, an actor or a bus driver, work very hard and be the best at it," says the proud son. Aditya feels that it is an insult to his father when they are compared. "He is so experienced. You can't even compare me to Sonu Nigam," he mentions. His father is very happy with his decision and he is himself one of the judges for Indian Idol 3 along with lyricist Javed Akhtar, Kajra Re singer Alisha Chinai and music composer Anu Malik. His clothes have been designed by Narendra Kumar and with him wearing jeans and cargos (not worn by any anchor on the show), the show is given a fresh new look. He also looks forward to acting if an interesting offer comes his way. |
