Couldn't agree with you more! The contestants are appaling by the show's standards.

Arun... while watching today's episode, I kept thinking "This is a complete insult to the stage." SRGMP has had a history of producing talent based on singing merit not looks and performances. Within the last 4 years or so, however, that standard has evolved...or should I say devolved? SRGMP has produced the likes of Kunal, Shreya, Vishal and even had a hand in molding Sonu and Shaan. These people catapulted to fame not because they looked good in x-outfit or showed josh in y-performance, but because they consistantly sang well and made lasting impressions on the stalwarts and true authorities of the industry.

Challo...ab rone ka kya faida. Shall just have to jhelo and hope for the best.

I feel so sorry for all contestants but more so for Himesh's Yogi b/c instead of getting his support,encouragement & protection...he's getting d most criticism from his 'guru'...this is sad...But this is Himesh's trick to win every1... 🤢

If you remember, Himesh did something similar with Paresh last time, but Paresh didn't last through sympathy. If your mentor supports you and the others pull you down, you may get public sympathy (e.g. Debojit), but if your own mentor doesn't support you, I doubt if the public will vote for you. Last year, the guy who really lasted from Himesh's gharana was his 'blue-eyed-boy' Vineet, not his step-children Paresh and Ujjaini.
