If an item song is filmed on the heroine, is it still called an item song? I thought item songs were single-performances by someone who is not the main character in the film, such as Sushmita Sen in Fiza or Helen in Sholay.

In any case, is there any difference between vamp and heroine in today's films? Sample Priyanka Chopra in Don or Bipasha Basu in innumerable films.

Was it Alka who sang Choli ke peeche kya hain?

Bang on Sahana - not really any difference between them these days...

And yes, Alka sang Choli ke peeche along with Ila Arun.. but then Alka's arguement will be that the heroine of the movie lip-sung her part!
