As a D-I-L, I'd give them the respect and understanding that's their due. After all they are near and dear to my husband. However, they cannot take the place of my parents (honest answer and I know will not be very popular). I wouldn't expect the same understanding from my in-laws as my parents. And they too should not expect me to be totally identical to their daughter (if they have one). I will do my bit for them, like I'm sure they would too. But we will not place any undue pressure of expectations from each other. That only leads to disappointment, stress and finally stretching the relationship too far

2. Is your husband also a singer?

He sings like Jimmy Hendrix (or however else you spell this guy's name, who has a weird collection in his album) 😛 Naa. My husband is a designer. An Industrial Designer.

3. Imagine....😛 You wanna go out and eat chinese, your mother in law wants to go for a thali meal.. your husband decides on the thali meal plan. Your reaction to this....😆

Zimble! Will go for Chinese anyway and have the waiters serve the stuff to my mother in law and hubby in a 'thaali' 😉 Saanp bhi mara aur laathi bhi nahin toota!

Ethnos from people / society / community. That's what I study or rather research on in the labs here. Hence, the ID

Well, he did his MDes. from IIT (Delhi). His major was in Mechanical Engineering though.

From where did you do your graduation?

Which degree / graduation did you have in mind? Actually, most of my degrees were from Delhi. Graduated from LSR (Lady Shri Ram College) in B.A. History. Then did M.A. and M.Phil (Pol Sc) from Jawaharlal Nehru University...again Delhi. And then for my doctoral studies I went to Singapore (National University of Singapore, though I did a semester in University of British Columbia, Vanc before shifting over to NUS)

Did you find the way to break firewall in office or today off, as you are answering Q at the day time?

Yeah you bet! I got in touch with the systems admn people here. And today is also just perfect, coz our team is busy with shifting from one building of our office to the other. Both these buildings are adjacent to each other. But, the old place where we were (also the main building / main office), was undergoing some construction. So, we all shifted here 2 months back. Today we will be shifting back. So, lots of hustle and bustle going on.

How is your experience being at MOW until now?

Sarita thanks for answering imn detail. Arre wah your husband is from IIT Delhi Mechanical. You know Sarita, when I did my PhD long time back the person who took my viva for PhD was the head of Mechanical Engg at IIT Delhi that time. If I remember correctly his name was Prof N. J. Rao.
