Music industry is abuzz with the news that the latest music sensation Himesh Reshammiya is being roped in as Judge by the Sony channel on its popular show Indian Idol 3. Sonu Niigaam is also expected to be the judge on the show. As an insider reveals, ' The concerned authorities have approached Reshammiya with the offer. Everybody knows about the cold war between Himesh and Sonu Niigaam, so getting them together on the same platform will be a casting coup for the show.' The channel is especially working on this project to counter the Star's K B C being hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. The earlier versions of Indian Idol (November 2004 – March 2005) and November 2005-April 2006 were very popular and its winner Abhijit Sawant and Sandeep Acharya had become household names. It may be recalled that earlier Himesh Reshammiya was associated with Zee's popular show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and probably will be offered this year too.
