Its all about the soft skills of Indian graduates. English is not our primary language, and I think baring the few prestigious institutes of India, I have seen communication as as very lacking skill in them. On top of that, may have a very strong regional accent. When these guys are hired by US companies, esp for the front-end, customer facing jobs, this weakness really comes out strong and hence this complaint. I dont think any of these companies have any complaints on the technical capabilities of India grads (or else jobs would not have got bangalored to the extent they have today), so the focus really should be in having a framework in Univs to enhance the communication skills for its techies. This could be through organising more GDs, seminars, road-shows etc.

2.Indian women (ie women from India) are regarded to be too conservative by Westerners. There was one frustrated person who told me that he had never managed to have an Indian girlfriend 😆. What's your take on this?

This is because of the cultural traditions and values that we grow up with in India. Yes, we are lot more conservative in nature when compared to Westerners, but we surely are not complaining. If they complain, I couldnt care lesser!😃
