This is not correct. Amit-ji produced 5 movies for ABCL (Amitabh Bacchan Corporation Limited) and AB Corp-- Tere Mere Sapne (1996), Mrityudaata (1997), Saat Rang Ke Sapne (1998), Major Saab (1998) and Aks (2001). The first 4 were under ABCL banner. These movies flopped miserably at box-office and that is how ABCL and Amiti-ji went into huge debt. It was Kaun Banega Crorepati that saved him and took him out of the mess.

Thanks for the correction - He has relatively recycled very little of his filmi earnings back into making movies which I think was a great investment strategy on his part -

i know it's very fashionable these days to talk about how great an actor he is etc., but i think he's getting stereotyped and is way too predictable in terms of his performances. but like they say, jisne ultimately paisa banaya, woh sikandar.

as for his financial problems, like others have said, i believe they stemmed from his mis-guided notion that he had any business skills. the miss universe thing was a bomb as were some of the movies he made. he was also imbroiled in allegations of foreign-exchange pay-offs along with his brother, all of which must have drained him... He should thank his lucky stars for KBC. or is that ABC? A bana crorepati 😉

i didn know about big b getting honorary doctorate ..thats very good achievment..well hats off to him
