Says Sanjay Gupta, "Sanju recorded both the songs in one day at Spectral Harmony last week. Bappida made him dance to Tamma tamma like he'd never danced before and now for the first time Bappida's son has made him sing like never before. One is Sun toh zara, which he has sung with Aanchal and the other is Raat khamosh hai with Bappida. The beauty of the songs lies in the fact that they are both very serious, slow, super-romantic songs and I have decided to use both in my next film Alibag." The lyrics of the songs have been given by Nilesh Mishra and Virag Mishra. Sincere Sanju Gupta adds, "One song I will use in the film and Sanju's song with Bappida I will use in a music video, which will be highly stylised. It will have Bappida sans his gold jewellery and both him and Sanju attired in white tuxedos." Bappi Lahiri sounds excited. "It was fantastic singing a song with Sanju composed by my son Bappa. The music is soft —- a combination of lounge and jazz, the kind of stuff one doesn't get to hear these days." About Dutt's singing skills, he says, "Sanjay is an outstanding singer. I have never heard him sing such melodious songs before. They are not the Aati hai Khandala type of song." Bappi says that Sanju seriously rehearsed for the songs, "He is very sincere about his work. He sat with Bappa and me for a full day and rehearsed. It was a memorable evening. I love Sanju like a younger brother. I know him since his childhood having worked with his dad, Sunil Dutt in Zakhmi and Paapi. Sanju is a great actor with a terrific sense of music. He has improved as a singer right from the first song that he sang. He's very fast and professional. What I liked about Sanju was the fact that he was very patient with Bappa. Initially, Bappa was scared of working with such a big star but when he heard Sanju singing so well he too relaxed." | ||||
