We still do not know the exact reasons for his exit. There is an ample talent in India and who knows Zee may get even better person to continue the show and take it to the newer heights. We all loved the show but intensely disliked all the dramabazzi, kid exploitation etc. May be Zee has learned a lesson that they just can't throw whatever they want at us and they listened to us and would like to give it a fresh look with a new producer.

If Gajji has the copyrights to produce saregama, Zee cannot make it with other producer/Director. They can make similar program with other director/producer though.

THere is no question that Saregamapa has done an immense service to viewers and contestants.
But there were some things about it that I hated...particularly the trend of regional voting eliminating talented contestants from other zones.
