Thanks for all the inputs, which will certainly help us do better next time.
This was a Retro night with classical theme, so, the idea was to present a bouquet of raagas, which feature in our hindi film songs, in one plate to our listeners, some who are initiated into music and others who are not, to get them an idea of what is our heritage.
On a separate front, we are planning a Classical Show, where we will go more into the classical aspects of the songs, where the raaga will be explored to show how a single raaga has been performed in a different manner/ mood, how the MD has adapted the basic raaga to form a composition. But thats a separate excercise we are doing and this was a Classical Retro Night.
Noted your comments on the pronounciations on the raaga names and the mistake in the Khamaj raag song. These feedbacks will be sent to the packaging team, who put the retro together.
YEs, the script lacked something, and that is something that definitely needs working upon.
