Himesh - From singer to actor

Reshammiya of Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Aashiq Banaya and Jara Jhoom Jhoom fame is also setting The HR school of Music in London. After making millions in India swing to his tunes, Himesh Reshammiya had the migrant population in London up on its feet with his performance, where he also announced the launch of his forthcoming film and a music institute. The music director-singer will don an addition cap - that of an actor with his forthcoming film Aap Kaa Surroor. Reshammiya of Jhalak Dikhla Ja, Aashiq Banaya and Jara Jhoom Jhoom fame is also setting The HR school of Music in London. The Wembelyarena Indoor Stadium was packed to capacity with NRIs audience who cheered on Reshammiya as he belted out one hit after another. Abhijeet Sawant, Vineet, Himani, Deobojit and Paresh -- all winners of popular music reality shows on Indiantelevision -- gave him company during the three-hour show on Sunday evening.

"I love Reshammiya's style of music. His voice has a unique style which makes him stand out from the rest," Tushar Patel, a young fan said. Asked why he chose London to announce his movie launch, Reshammiya said "This is an International city with lot of Indians and this stadium is one of the best for performances." Recently, Reshammiya was in the US where he concluded the Aap Kaa Suroor concert, which according to industry analysts was a roaring success. The next show is scheduled in Glasgow, in Northern London. The Rs. 75 crore Aap Kaa Surroor, The Moviee, The Real Luv Story would be directed by Prashant Chadha and is set to hit screens in June 2007. The movie would feature Salman Khan and will be the launch pad of two new faces.
