Where did God come here on this section. Please Kavitaji don't bring other section issues here. Keep this thread related to the things we are discussing and not stary away from the topic.

i agree completely tht God related questions should b kept away frm general discussion. but i am confused as i am still to come across such topics here in this section 😕 can yu please point out such topics.

Come on.... lets get positive. Make constructive posts. Give ideas regarding how to make te section active....... but yes in the boundaries of RULES OF India Forums..... they are not our own rules mind you...

aap bilkul ghalat matlab nikaal rahe hain 😭... i only said that because adi wrote in his post that members can make suggestions but whether the idea will be used will be decided by forum administration... so i was just saying my suggestion is something that only members themselves can change (dont forget members does include the admin team)... my meaning being- the dev team can tell every1 to be nice and interact with every1... but whether that does happen is down to members themselves... mera matlab itna hi tha... aapne pata nahin kyun iska ghalat matlab nikal liya

and i was only suggesting discussing this via PM so that we wouldn't ruin the flow of this topic

I did not even see this topic. But music is universal isn't it? It has no caste, no creed , no religion.It is the food for the soul.

But in this forum I do not really think we ever made fun of God in any form.

Since you bring up rules... May I point out that no where in the rules does it say that we must solely discuss the show in every section. The rules clearly state that we are to avoid using harassing language that offends or attacks members. The rules do not state that we can't express our opinions and have them please all. The rules do not state that we can't have threads where fans of a particular person may not discuss anything concerning the person. The rules do not state that we can't "chat" in individual sections. They merely state that we cannot spam in any section - and the definition spamming is clearly laid out in the rules.

The very things that made this section a fun place to come to have been passed on to a different section. A bit of "outsourcing" if you will. While it may make things more convenient if fan clubs and chatting are delegated to different areas, they also serve to break up the community that had developed here. We all came to this section because we were interested in SRGMP. This section provided a small community within IF where we were comfortable to talk, chat, discuss, debate, etc.. With the loss of those little things that made this section a convenient place to gather with friends we'd made here, the section has lost a large population of members.
It was easy to find the Vinit or HR or Nihira fan club here. It was easy to locate that particular chat thread here. It was easy to find and get involved in a certain discussion here. But with the scattering of these elements into the "fan club" section and the "chat club" section ... we were opened up to a larger community of people who we didn't necesarily know or have a connection with. It became harder to stay involved in huge fan clubs where every other comment was made by a person we had never heard of. It became hard to chat with people we didn't know yet.

Having read through the past 12 pages, I get the feeling things are going to remain much the same here. Like Surji and Varshadi, I very rarely visit this section. I am having a hard time understanding why it is possible for other sections to maintain chatty threads, have fan clubs and be able to talk about the characters in various serials, but it has been too dificult for the SRGMP section to continue to have that.

I realize most of this message has been more along the lines of "what's wrong" and not "what can be done to make this place fun again" ... but if you have read through carefully, you will realize the solution doesn't lie in creating something new, but retaining the old and bettering it - as I had said in my last post in this thread.

sorry to say but this is not a topic tht yu can say God related. it very well falls under music related topics. and a very important subject. somethng maybe we should discuss. because it is very important tht we make sure tht our next genration dnt use music too as a part of religion.

Totally agree. Religious fanaticism has shown what we can land up in. Check the date today, a living example.Lets keep God's and religion totally out of it. Each person has his or her own definition of this topic. When it is not this section related why bring it in..

A lot of things are acceptable to one religion whereas totally against any other religion. If you see something that is perfectly acceptable to your religion and question why it is unacceptable to another, there start a conflict on religious grounds. Offcouse a forum member who is a participant of a forum discussing musical show will "most probably" not be thinking on those lines, however we of all religions need to be mindful of not offending someone with those thoughts.

In the heyday of C2005, this forum saw so much of fracturing on regional lines, when someone even brings up a religion, I cringe , b'cos most of us did not show the maturity to handle even the regional stuff, religion is 100 times more heavy.

Or maybe it is just me who worries about these things considering it is today the 9/11.

I agree to some points raised by Simtara....

With Chat clubs, we were suddenly thrown to an open place, and even when we opened SRGMP related chat threads - some unknown people would dive in... No problem in befriending new people, but there should be some similarity of thoughts to have a healthy conversation...... In SRGMP section, most of us are bound by a common interest called 'Music'... In a open chat club, thats not the case, and hence I think, a healthy conversation will never take off....

Also agree to the Chatty and fun threads of the other sections... If other sections can run it, we surely should be allowed to do the same... I understand that we need to cut out on Hi and Bye spammers, but I believe most of us had done quite a bit of it lately after the Mods guided us... So we should be allowed atleast one fun thread every week...

And as we see, we still seem to be discussing what went wrong rather than what can be done... well I believe that the solution is not akways falling back on the old.. Yes, take the best part from old, take the lessons learnt too.. but constantly think of new ideas too... Without the new ideas, the excitement will never sustain...
