Wow - people are remembering nostalgic moments of bashing others, esp the Mods! 😆

Have I bashed any of the Mods? 🤔🤔🤔 Dont remember.... 😛

Ofcourse fought with some others on the classy HR, 'Regionalism' and 'Manna'da being rated a 2nd class singer' topics... 😳😳😳

5. Do not make bad image of anybody just based on something written here.

👏 Excellent points... But, #4 - not sure if I will agree to that though 😕

Jadooji,

Brilliantly written.

Can we steal 😉 it from you, for our Forum Code of Conduct. Its just soemthing which should benefit all the members of IF and will be useful for all MODs especially when dealing with problem situations in the forum.

Jaadoo bhai,

Good points, but just like Jaya I don't agree to the 4th one.

I agree here with point #4. Don't support someone solely because he/she is your friend. Fight for the issue, not for your friend - unless they're being strongly outnumbered and you need to balance the scales

Nahi to people will not take you seriously - you'll just be called a band-wagoner who joined their friend - may not be true, lekin kisiko bolne ka mauka kyon de?

Problem starts if I have 4-5 friends supporting me and other have 4-5 friends supporting that means there will be 10 people fighting same time. As many people will involve, matter will get worse and also it is not good for mod to manage the sitation. But at end of the day, we should all sign off forum in happy mood.

Jadoo ji

Very very well put. 👏👏👏

If you ask me, it would be difficult for me to sit quietly if a Friend is under attack.

As a newbie on this forum, I have seen that popular members and their friends always come forward to defend their POPULAR friends and sometimes the lesser known members tend to get crushed under the combined weight of the bigger group. Since then, if I can, whether the person is a friend or no, I end up leaving my thoughts on the fight, right there on the thread, for the benefit of that "forum friend".

It worked. It made someone realise that someone is supporting your cause, someone is taking up cudgels on your behalf, even if you are not there to defend your honour. I have many friends from such associations.

When you take up a cause, as long as your thoughts are clear, your stand is firm, and your mind clear of emotions running wild, you can take up the cause on behalf of ur friend, foe or a forum member.

Follow the other rules to make this one effective.

BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY, LEAVE THESE WORRIES BEHIND HERE AND LOG OUT PEACEFULLY. These lil fights or tensions are not worth carrying out of the computer, they have a way of resolving itself beautifully.

👏

I agree Shady.

But isnt every forum member a friend or a potential friend.

It is important that in any fight, go in with conviction and not for the member.

But Shady, if the person involved is a friend, you know their POV and you have a chance to see things from their perspective, which anyways helps u identify the cause easier and have the conviction in it too.

I agree here. For example, most of my friends don't like HR - and they get a lot of support in that regard. So when a discussion on HR is on, it's usually a whole lot of my friends on one side, and a couple of others on the other side. It's obvious that my friends don't need help, but the other side does. Now, I'm not a big fan of HR myself, but I don't dislike him either. Being a neutral, I decide to support the other side, because they probably need me more. So here I'm joining the debate and providing views against my buddies, but there's healty discussion and at the end of they day, like you said, we leave it all behind and we're still friends.

I don't know - I always feel like supporting the underdog - whether it's the forum people, or sports teams, or third-world countries. However, as a result, I've been branded an HR fan, when I'm not 😕
