i just watched a repeat of the C2005 episode where banjyotsna was eliminated
in this episode there were a few of the EMET contestants and i found it interesting to see how they have progressed since then
banjyotsna has made a huge improvement since those days 👏... she sang "ishq kabhi kariyo na" and "tum mujhe yun bhula na paaoge"... i thought she was pretty good though... i think it's just unfortunate that she was in a group where there were some strong girls otherwise she would have made it further... btw- does anyone have her "baahon me chale aao"?... she sung that really well 👏
rajeev- in the 1st part he sang "khali dil nahin" (kachche dhaage) and in the 2nd he sang "jab jab bahar aayi"... i felt that he was actually better back in those days 😕... after hearing his performance HR said "mujhe mere mehboob ki yaad dila di" 😆.. at the end he ended up in a tie situation with bhumik and sang "ooper khuda" and blew every1 away 👏
niladri was actually the male singer who was in most demand when the gharanas were made 😲... this is surprising now seeing how far he made it in C2005 and EMET 😕... i think in C2005 it was his attitude that let him down... he seemed overconfident and did not put in enough effort which was pointed out many times by the mentors... in EMET i think he just got unlucky... in this episode his singing was very good though
twinkle used to sing a lot better back in those days... i dont understand what happened to her 😕... but i noticed that her arrogance was just as bad 🤢... in the first episode she sang "saiyan chhod meri baiyan" which wasnt great so she got the yellow card while swananda (brilliant singer 👏) took the green card... in response to this twinkle gave what i found quite a shocking speech for someone just in the first round of the contest 😡...
"i want to say sorry to ismailji... magar maine achha gaya tha"... the judges were quite taken aback by this comment and pointed out that her expressions were exxagerated and she didnt sing great... to this she rudely retorted... "well to me self satisfaction is important and i feel that i performed well... anyway i don't want to be just a playback singer... i want to be a good performer" (which was quite a rude thing to say with alkaji sitting there)🤢... jatinji commented "nayapan pe itni overconfidence achhi baat nahi hai beta"
twinkle was better in the 2nd part though when she sang "nigahen milaa ne ko jee chahata hai"... definitely one of her better performances 👏
so how did twinkle, rajeev and niladri become worse???😕... surely under training of their mentors they're meant to improve 😕😕
