If stars matter so much and if they are truly the embodiment of the participants' efforts and talent they have displayed thus far, how come sometimes none of the GGs' comments match the stars they give? Let's forget about Leslie's EMET stars for a moment. Consider the 'It's the time to disco' performance by UA. Ujjaini was praised to death, but Aishwarya was only considered decent. Since this is a jodi competition, there must have been something missing in their performance to cause Aishwarya to be inferior in comparison to Ujjaini, yet they still received full stars from the GGs.

I can say the same for Sharib who has been equally praised by the GGs but he hasn't ever received 7 stars from HH? Why? Most likely because of Banjo. That makes sense since the competition is based on jodis. However, UA in an almost identical situation were given 7 stars. These stars are confusing and have a constant habit of contradicting not only the themselves, but the GGs' comments as well. And don't go telling me it's because of the chemistry in UA's jodi. The stars for chemistry is LL's responsibility, not HH's.

yaar aise kar, check with shady. only last week i think he was regaling us with average rankings, stars and the like to show how/ why BS were better. LOL yaar, this is starting to look like a kahaani-ghar-ghar-ke type of serial. kahaani keeps changing to fit the scene, no? 😉

Arre CB.. I'm just flexible enough to bow to UA fans' demands..

If they listed the stars, like they said last week, then I gave my interpretaion of the average stars

If they said stars don't matter, like BB said earlier in this post, that's fine with me too.. I agree, they don't matter

I will put this in a different way.

If the public was not so regionally biased, results would have been very different.

Note: regional bias is one of the factor.

thing is, for C2005, every contestants had mentors who guided them w/ their individual performances. each contestants had someone to fall back on.

in this emet, the jodis are basically on their own... Hari Haran's n Leslie's stars dont speak for the whole public out there, their stars are more like a guide for the jodis, to show them where they need to improve, what they are good at, etc.

Jus cos 2 judges accordin to their views, give certain stars to some jodis, doesnt mean that whole public may feel the same way.. otherwise the voting system wouldnt be for the public. it would have simply been done by the judges themselves.

for them its important to show the jodis where they need to work on, etc.
for us public its either "yes we want to hear these ppl" or "no we dont want to"

i highly doubt when ne one of us listens to songs, we analyze on their higher octs. or their lower notes..lol most of hte time we focus on...the singers' voice, our level of comfort w/ their singin etc.

so in the end, stars .. well they jus there. i guess we'll hafta wait till the finals to see what happens.
